Mid-term Exam – Spring 2009
Assignment: Plan a two-day “Cultural Tourism” weekend (Saturday & Sunday) in Seoul. You must visit two different places each day (total: four places). You must eat three meals each day and plan accommodations for Saturday night.
Questions: What is it like “to walk in someone else’s shoes”? How would I feel if I was a foreigner? What would a foreigner find difficult or confusing? What would a foreigner find interesting?
Directions:
1. Begin the weekend vacation at Seoul Station (서울역) on Saturday at 9:00am.
2. Describe how to travel to the tourist sites, restaurants and accommodations for your weekend vacation (subways, etc).
3. Take notes about travel difficulties foreigners might experience.
4. Take notes about what foreigners might find interesting.
5. Take some pictures to share during your presentation.
6. If you have enough money, think about buying a souvenir to show the class.
Presentation: Summarize your travel experience. You do not have to explain about every detail of your weekend. Your presentation should include the following things:
1. An 6-minute presentation about your weekend.
2. A poster board showing important parts of your vacation.
Grading: You will be graded on the following things:
1. Pronunciation 5 points
2. Grammar 5 points
3. Completeness 5 points
4. Elaboration & Effort 5 points
Plagiarism: You have several weeks to prepare your mid-term exam. If there is any plagiarism in your mid-term exam you will receive a grade of zero (and possibly a course failure). Please, write your own sentences for your presentation.

It seems little hard. ㅠㅠ

to experience Seoul in foreigner's view.
Someday, maybe I'll also have chance to introduce Seoul to foreigners.
Then, It would be preparation for that day.
I'll prepare this project as best as i can. ^^
Templates will be given to each student in the group. Written copies are expected from each person in the group and are to be submitted the day of the presentation. I will not accept late copies.
